I am currently in my eighth semester of the Bachelor's degree in Modern Languages with an emphasis on English at the Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia (UPTC). Throughout my academic journey, I have gained a strong foundation in foreign languages and developed skills in teaching and learning the English language. I have also engaged in various extracurricular activities related to promoting intercultural communication and idea exchange.

Holds a Master’s in Language Teaching from the Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia and a BA in Education with an emphasis in English from the University of Arizona. She has been a social advocate for more than three decades, dedicating her work to women’s and children’s rights. Her interests include STEAM Education, social agency, and community grassroots projects.

Anna Carolina Peñaloza

Writer, poet, and artivista. She is a proud Colombian-American and Chicana/Latina Feminist. She holds a B.A. in Environmental Science from the University of Arizona and a Master's in Language Teaching from the Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia. She is a second year Ph.D. in Education student at the University of California, Davis. Her research interests include feminist pedagogy, feminist writing, social equity, STEM, and art literacy.
Mairon Felipe Tobar Gómez

Holds an M.A. in Languages Didactic from Universidad de La Salle, and a B.A. in English Language Teaching from Universidad de la Amazonia. He is currently a researcher and a full-time English Language Professor at Universidad Santo Tomás Tunja and a part-time one at Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia (UPTC) in Tunja, Boyacá where he is part of the research group “TONGUE”.

Besides, I have participated in a research group at the UPTC called Semillero Ultimo Round since 2023. My interest in research is related to writing, creative writing and writing skills.
